Jet Transporting US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield

An aircraft transporting Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the plane's windshield, per an official statement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

"The aircraft landed in accordance with standard procedures and all passengers, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer stated in a public statement.

Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.

This occurrence isn't the initial instance that a US military aircraft carrying a senior official has experienced technical problems.

Months ago, a US Air Force plane transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was required to head back to the US capital after encountering a mechanical problem.
