Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with longtime publisher.
Prolific writer for children and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
An official for the firm said: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was made after an investigation into reports of inappropriate behaviour towards young women.
The company did not confirm the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on internal matters."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies globally in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works in total, encompassing a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.

His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
