In a unexpected collaboration that defies traditional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the formal statement, "A mysterious encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of prohibited rituals and terrifying transformations resonate through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret sect.

The adventure concentrates on "strange trials and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Transformations

The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Additional Content

Players who finish the adventure will obtain an unique katana together with numerous items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
